Business Development Manager
ABGi Canada/Braithwaite, a Visiativ Company, is hiring Business Development Managers
This is a unique opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and dynamic Business Development team in Vancouver Founded in 1990, ABGi has one of the largest networks of experts specializing in tax credit optimization, with a growing presence in 10 countries including the UK, France, Canada, and Brazil to deliver on tax credits and incentives across industries.
Role Overview
A Day In The Life (Responsibilities)
- Generate leads by soliciting the market and cultivating your own personal network and leveraging internal tools as needed
- Maintain close contact with consultants, outside professionals and associations to identify and develop business leads through referrals
- Proactively manage territory through new business prospecting and management of existing accounts.
- Actively research and outreach to target decision makers while selling, creating meetings both inperson and virtual, and bringing the sales cycle to a close.
- Diagnose prospects' business climate, challenges, strategic needs and pain points and develop a real value proposition to positively impact their business
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop gotomarket strategies and deliverables
- Partner with internal consulting team determine best in class value positioning and service to assist with current and future customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required, with a masters degree or above preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of sales or business development in the consulting or professional services industry to the middle market
- Proven experience using a sales methodology to generate sales leads, open doors and manage the sales cycle to contract signing;
- Consultative sales experience at the executive level (C level)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) combined with strong listening skills;
- Previous experience working with a large consulting firm is a plus
- Previous experience selling or experience with SR&ED is a plus
- Knowledge selling or working in the financial services industry is a plus
