- Partner with the procurement team and business function teams to collect copies of all leases.
- Tracking leases with upcoming changes to ensure timely and accurate accounting of updates (i.e. terminations and modifications).
- Generate the lease accounting schedules and review for accuracy.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes for leases and restructuring and preparing reconciliations for related balance sheet accounts.
- Accounting for lease terminations and modifications, as well as sublease accounting.
- Prepares or assists in preparation of schedules to be provided to the external and internal auditors.
- Responsible for lease accounting transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance/ CPA Candidate
- 4+ years of experience in the related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software quickly.
- Previous experience with QuickBooks and Sage 300 will be an asset.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook.
- Ability to process large volume of invoices and payments, while prioritizing competing tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
