Job summary
The Manager Strategic Workforce Management will provide divisional leadership on workforce management including employee relations and workplace investigations.Major Responsibilities: Develops detailed plans implements policies program specific requirements supports Division's workforce strategy monitors employer choice performance metrics manages staff ensures effective teamwork high standards organizational performance continuous learning innovation others manages day-to-day operation assigned staff scheduling assigning reviewing work authorizes vacation overtime requests monitors evaluates staff performance approves salary increments recommends disciplinary action when necessary oversees investigation resolution complaints complex systemic issues provides leadership guidance all staff handles cases directs case management support reviews prepares investigation plans gathers evidence interviews analyzes prepares reports leads manages investigations meetings assigns monitoring work ensure timely completion accordance divisional policies procedures develops annual budget unit ensures expenditures controlled maintained approved budget limitations develops guides strategically focused customer service centre workforce development strategy oversees execution works Corporate People Equity ensure Division effectively efficiently manages talent strategies provides strategic leadership grow Division relationships partners alliances specifically learning certifying institutions collaborates Employee Relations administer collective agreements consistent application policies procedures legislative requirements levels staffing cultivates organizational leadership liaising directors operational management unit staff manages Divisions' needs assessment design development delivery coordination evaluation incorporating adult principles maintains collaborative partnerships municipalities ministries colleges training-related matters participates negotiations Provincial Ministries union negotiations related divisional workforce planning initiatives training development i.e apprenticeship programs etc initiates develops implements participates divisonal initiatives such as but not limited to employee recognition surveys
