    Aviation Expert Seeks Complex Air Traffic Controller Position


    Job Description


    NAV CANADA is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller to work in the Vancouver Tower. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience as an Airport/Aerodrome (Tower) Air Traffic Controller and possess strong skills in complex air traffic management.


    The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing air traffic, planning traffic flow, and separating aircraft by determining and applying radar or non-radar separation standards. They will also issue clearances and instructions, relay messages and pertinent information, coordinate aircraft movement with control positions, sectors, specialties centers towers flight service stations flight information centres enter data into electronic strips post strips on a data board operate telephone radio radar equipment prepare duties requirements specified unit directives provide VFR ground services accommodate special users airspace integrate exercises sequences from Grouse Mountain Kayak English Bay walking through Canada Place emergency response other duties required.



    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent;
    • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF AIRPORT/AERODROME TOWER AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER TRAINING PROGRAM OR EQUIVALENT
