Effective June 1, 2023, two locum positions in Developmental Paediatrics are available in the Division of Developmental Paediatrics, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

We are an academic health science centre dedicated to the care of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and rehabilitation needs affiliated with the University of Toronto.

We are recruiting for two locum Developmental Paediatricians (or equivalent) with an academic focus and clinical experience with children and youth with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders.

As an integral member of our team, your responsibilities will include the provision of clinical care, teaching, and/or the opportunity to participate in quality/research initiatives.

The successful applicant must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatrics (or equivalent).

Completion of a Subspecialty Training/Fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics, or equivalent academic experience is highly desireabel. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada's largest children's rehabilitation hospital in Canada and is home to the Bloorview Research Institute.

We are a provincial facility that sees more than 7,500 children and youth on an outpatient basis, and we have over 600 inpatient admissions each year.

We serve young people from birth to 19 years old with disabilities, rehabilitation needs and complex health and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

Role accountabilities will be divided 75% clinical time and 25% academic time
Clinical duties will include consultation in the area of developmental disorders to inpatients and outpatients
Involved in the training of students/residents
Oncall responsibilities including providing inpatient coverage

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Certificate or fellowship in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent.
Subspecialty Residency or Fellowship completion in Developmental Paediatrics or equivalent academic experience is mandatory
Demonstrated commitment and understanding of the Centre's Vision, Values and Mandate.
