About The Role

MacQuarries Pharmasave Group is 16 stores strong across Mainland Nova Scotia. We are currently looking for an Associate Buyer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director or Merchandising to ensure the overall success of the stores.
• Focus on merchandising, ensuring there is adequate presentation of product, well displayed and available for optimal buying advantage and consumer demands.
• Fully understand margins ensuring we are in a competitive price position while still meeting the needs of the business.
• Ensure minimal un‑addressed shelf vacancies and that the product is purchased and stocked properly to prevent this while adhering as closely as possible to all numerical/financial formulas and targets.
• Train, coach and guide employees in merchandising activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about buying trends and anticipating customer needs.
• Excel, Office and BIS reporting systems are an asset.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
