Permanent Full-Time
37.5 hours per week
$22.45/hr

The Home & Community Support Innovation Centre (the Innovation Centre) is currently seeking a self
- motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant.

As a division of ICAN-Independence Centre and Network, the Innovation Centre is a strategic investment of Ontario Health North.

Our goal is to provide resource support to home and community care health service providers across North Eastern Ontario and facilitate sector-wide and system improvements.


The Administrative Assistant will be adept at using IT solutions to support efficiencies in process development and enthusiastic about finding innovative solutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to various projects and activities of the Innovation Centre
(i.e.
Visio; MS PowerPoint/Visme/Canva; MS Suite products);

  • Mange and support meeting of regional work groups, networks, committees, etc
  • Maintain Innovation Centre websites (i.e. wordpress) and document storage services (i.e. MS
Sharepoint)

  • Communicate with health service providers and Innovation Centre partners
  • Support knowledge transfer across the home and community care sector (i.e. platform training)

Position Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized community college administrative program preferred
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the field
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to problem solve and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
  • Ability to show initiative, adaptability and innovation
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is preferred

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Visio, SharePoint, Excel, and project management software
