Description
Procor Limited manages Canada's largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. The fleet has grown to include more than 30,500 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 27 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the On-site & MRU Supervisor will be responsible for the sites repair requirements and for ensuring that Procor employees work safely and in a Responsible Care environment.
This position is responsible for achieving or exceeding key performance indicators through the optimum performance of the operation and on-site team at three (3) separate locations in the Red Deer area.
Job Duties:
- Managing Procor's ongoing operations at our DOW-Prentiss and ME Global-Blackfalds customer sites, as well as our Lacombe Mobile Repair Unit
- Provide leadership and direction to hourly direct reports while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
- Responsible for meeting each facility's production targets while controlling expenditures
- Continually develop onsite team skills for succession planning to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
- Communicate with the onsite customer to ensure a continual flow of work for the facility, while maintaining a target backlog of work

- Develop and implement initiatives for operational improvement and growth
- Enforce all safety rules and procedures set by both the company and the customer, including regular taskobservations of employees
- Manage the facility's Quality Assurance program in accordance with corporate and AAR regulatory standards
- Submit required metrics and documentation in a timely manner
- Manage material and inventory in accordance with company targets
- Other related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma preferred with minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar leadership role
- 10+ years' experience in a production or repair facility, preferably railrelated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal and team building skills
- Strong organization, planning, and problemsolving skills
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Knowledge of AAR rules, M1002 and M1003 standards is an asset
- Experience in process management, quality assurance programs, and continual improvement programs (Lean, Six-Sigma) are assets
- Highly adaptable and responsive to changes in the work environment
- Indepth knowledge of confined space entry procedures and working at heights is preferred
- Adhere to Procor's health and safety standards (including the Responsible Care policy) and wear the required personal protective equipment for the job in a safe manner
- Valid driver's license
- Eligible to work in Canada
