We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team.


Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Take charge of carpentry projects from start to finish, providing direction and guidance to a team of carpenters to ensure successful project completion.

Carpentry Expertise: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and other related tasks.

Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry and company standards.

Material Management: Efficiently manage materials and resources, including ordering and tracking inventory, to minimize waste and optimize project costs.

Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, addressing questions or concerns and providing updates on project progress.

Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including project managers, subcontractors, and trades, to coordinate and execute project tasks seamlessly.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the construction process, offering creative solutions to keep projects on track.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in residential carpentry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Indepth knowledge of residential construction techniques and materials and the BC Building Code
  • Red Seal considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary:
$30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
