- Act as lead Project Manager for all assigned projects, including managing a team of Designers and Drafters.
- Ensure seamless coordination among the internal and external project team.
- Assume the role of Contract Administrator for designated projects as needed.
- Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and on budget, while preparing/reviewing any change orders and contract amendments.
- Address technical and financial inquiries related to projects.
- Liaise with external consultants and vendors to facilitate project delivery.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering Project Management experience within the Halifax electrical building services industry.
- Registered P.Eng. designation is preferred. However, a senior C.E.T. with commensurate experience and skills will be considered.
- Thorough understanding of relevant local building Codes and Standards.
- Experience in any of the following building types: Commercial, Healthcare, Schools, Light Industrial buildings such as Warehouses/Fabrication Shops/Distribution Centres, or Multi-Family Residential.
- Proficiency in project procurement methodologies.
- Ability to navigate complex environments with multiple projects and clients.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, evidenced through client and staff interactions.
- Experience collaborating with external consultants and contractors on major projects.
- LEED certification or experience with sustainable design is considered an asset.
