- Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment and selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities
- Support a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring that all safety practices and policies are followed by employees, contractors and on site customers
- Manage and monitor the work order process
- Continually identify and recommend opportunities to improve service to customers
- Responsible for managing service operations and assets to achieve best possible financial results, aligned with the corporate strategy and personal objectives
- Effective planning, management and reporting of service financial results, assets and facilities requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and service support systems
- Sound knowledge of current products and services and CAT dealer relationship
- Strong understanding and interpretation of relevant service agreements
- Understanding and use of supporting information systems with an emphasis on DBS
- Strong knowledge of Warranty and Good will practices and budget forecasting
- Complete understanding of Finning's work order cycle
- Thorough understanding of Leaders in Action
- Thorough understanding of the union and Finning's collective agreements
- Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety
- 5 to 10 years in a mechanical service environment
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
