Precision Agronomy Specialist:


Reporting to the Corporate Precision Agronomy Manager, the Precision Agronomy Specialist will lead the development, execution, and delivery of digital and technological products and services to our customers so they can make the best crop management decisions while optimizing business operations.

This position requires a team player who is passionate about agriculture and the future of the industry.




What Does A Precision Agronomy Specialist Do?:

  • Drives the adoption of new technology and product offerings specific to Precision Agronomy.
  • Prepares and presents digital reports and findings to customers based on the analysis of fields and equipment.
  • Sells, implements, and services Precision Agronomy equipment for customers including weather stations, soil moisture probes, and RTK towers.
  • Remains actively involved in sales calls, customer clinics, and other events and takes a lead role in equipment demonstrations to support the use of digital platforms.
  • Provides solutionbased consulting services to customers including optimizing performance, managing operational efficiencies, driving yields, and reducing costs.
  • Updates Sales, Service and Parts departments with current and new software requirements.
  • Works directly with customers to continuously improve the utilization of the John Deere Operations Centre.



What You Bring To The Table:

  • Diploma in agriculture studies or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry, specifically with John Deere products, is preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software with experience in database management and data retrieval methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in modelling and mapping business processes including analyzing technical requirements.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing reengineered business processes and associated software/hardware.
  • Previous knowledge of service level agreements and customer service standards.
  • A passion for sustainable agriculture and a desire to contribute to the advancement of farming practices.
