Analyst, People and Culture

  • United Way Greater Toronto is looking for an enthusiastic, analytical, and experienced Analyst, People and Culture to join our team at our Toronto office.
  • Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the Analyst, People and Culture is responsible for administering and supporting HR programs related to HRIS, time and attendance, analytics, learning and development, wellness, recognition, and health & safety.

What you'll do:


  • Maintain HR information on ADP Workforce Now including medical information, responses from diversity questionnaire, professional development
  • Maintain the ADP Workforce Now home page and ensure resource materials are updated
  • Administer HR, Time Off and Time & Attendance modules of ADP Workforce Now, including managing setup, access permissions, security and other technical issues, as well providing user support
  • Manage time and attendance process; including monitoring of time off entitlements and usage
  • Administer pregnancy/parental leaves, including consulting with employees and creating documented plans for time off
  • Oversee the implementation of all yearround employee recognition programs
  • Working collaboratively with the Director, Learning & Culture, set up organizational meetings including venue bookings and logistics, professional development workshops and assist in managing schedules and preparing packages of meeting materials
  • Provide support in the management of learning and wellness vendor partner relationships, relevant learning portals and tracking of employee participation in learning and development activities within the organization
  • Working collaboratively with the Manager, Communications & Culture, contribute to the design and maintenance of all P&C materials on the Intranet
  • Represent P&C in the Wellness Committee
  • Develop and run employee surveys using online tools and create management reports for analyzing results
  • Produce and post monthly organization charts
  • Develop and run complex reports on employee information and prepare complex documents related to Human Resources (HR) metrics
  • Maintain online files for departmental documents
  • Coordinate occasional catering for meetings
  • Assist in managing the P&C annual budget; track and submit invoices to Accounts Payable
  • Partner with the Finance Business Management Technology Solutions team with Health and Safety activities such as:
  • Organizational compliance with legislation
  • Requests for accommodations
  • Ergonomics assessments
  • Act as backup to other members of the P&C team
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What you'll need to be successful:

  • More than 1 year and up to and including 3 years administrative experience including managing complex data and systems, in a Human Resources capacity
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills and experience administering HRIS (ADP Workforce Now an asset)
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop effective tracking and reporting tools, create meaningful management reports and manipulate data
  • Strong problemsolving skills with proven success at identifying, escalating and resolving issues
  • Proven organizational abilities and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proven ability to take initiative and carry projects to completion with minimum supervision
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and constituent service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse employee population and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven track record of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proven customer service skills with the focus on providing exceptional internal constituent service
  • Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing antioppressive, and antiracist learning into action internally and externally
