The Marketing & Engagement Department is responsible for developing and driving the production of all fundraising events, donor recognition events, and ensures a consistency of approach for a portfolio of independent community events, maintaining and growing Richmond Hospital Foundation's brand equity for short and long-term growth opportunities.


Position Summary


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be working alongside the marketing team to plan and project manage Foundation marketing strategies and campaigns from initiation to execution, including timelines, logistics and vendor relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure website is uptodate with accurate information and assist with web site editing and design
  • Maintain social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube including planning, writing posts, sourcing images, responding to followers, and reporting
  • Coordinate with third party vendors such as graphic designers, translators, photographers, and videographers to ensure timely production of materials
  • Assist with liaising with vendors and managing event collateral including ensuring appropriate usage and placement of sponsor logos and recognition
  • Assist with marketing campaign planning, including and not limited too developing detailed timelines and keeping projects on schedule
  • Compile and maintain marketing calendars, briefs, and summaries
  • Assist with coordinating and executing interviews, photo shoots, and video shoots
  • Upkeep of photo bank for imagery to be used on website and other collateral and communication tools
  • Help develop content and materials for digital presence and print collateral including written materials
  • Assist with developing marketing strategies that engage new and existing donors
  • Contribute to the creative development of all marketing pieces

Writing and Communications

  • Manages the timely implementation and distribution of marketing communications (i.e. internal communications calendar)

Administration and Support

  • Update and distribute communications calendar internally
  • Maintain earned and organic media coverage report
  • Track, analyze and report on key performance indicators, including website and social media analytics, campaign analytics, conversions and results
  • Source new promotional items and marketing ideas
  • Keep record and control of promotional items and associated supplies
  • Obtain vendor quotes and submit purchase orders
  • Build relationships, interacts and works with team members, volunteers, others throughout Hospital, suppliers, sponsors and donors
  • Attend, volunteer and participate/support in Foundation signature events as required
  • Other duties as required

Education & Experience

  • 25 years' fulltime experience in communication, marketing, or public relations
  • Undergraduate degree or related postsecondary diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Proactive with the ability to work well independently and as a team
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Welldeveloped business writing skills with a demonstrated ability to succinctly communicate useful and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and have a strong attention to detail
  • Strong abilities to problem solve and to take a calm and thoughtful approach to work
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure, particularly when faced with multiple demands
  • Thrives in a highly competitive industry and fastpaced work environment
  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficient in using: WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Adept understanding of data management software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Raiser's Edge


As the Foundation's office is located within Richmond Hospital, it is a condition of employment that you be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
