Job Summary:

The overall duty of this position is to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment department in North Battleford, Saskatchewan at our two manufacturing facilities.

The HR Coordinator will work closely with HR operations across Canada to ensure all recruitment, orientation, onboarding, administration of policies, certifications and data is collected and processed in alignment with company policies and procedures.


Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain personnel records of employees including leaves, corrective actions, and training records
  • Facilitate staff training in conjunction with HR leadership
  • Work with HR leadership to update job descriptions
  • Administrative tasks when required, which may include but is not limited to; scanning, filing, data entry and photocopying
  • Administer company benefits and RRSPs for Western staff
  • Maintain and enter employee data in the HRIS system and ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Work with management team to ensure 3 month and annual reviews are completed
  • Ensure vacation schedules are signed off and recorded
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
  • Prepare reports for HR Leadership
  • Work with social committee on staff recognition activities
  • Communicate to management as required
  • Assist with monthly safety inspections
  • Maintain compliance in HR and H&S and update HR leadership of legislative/regulation changes as needed
  • Assists with the development or implementation of various HR materials, letters and documents as required
  • Foster positive working relationships with staff and cultivate team cohesiveness
  • Communicate to management as required
  • Monitor and recommend corrective action
  • Maintain Human Resources and Health & Safety bulletin boards
  • Ensure compliance meets all legislative requirements, including audiometric, air quality, forklift, WHMIS, Standard First Aid, Workplace Health and Safety Committee, etc.
  • Ensure safe work procedures are current and complete for all work centers
  • Assist with management of return to work programs proactively
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary

Qualifications:


  • A college/university diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Office administration experience with payroll and/or employeerelated tasks an asset
  • The ability to speak clear, articulate English is a necessity
  • Knowledge of human resources functions and tasks
  • Knowledge of health and safety functions and tasks
  • Requires strong computer and research skills
  • Understanding of current legislation, Codes of Practice, Bulletins and other safe work practice requirements and recommendations

Job Types:

From $18-22 per hour
