Home Hardware is looking for an

Office Services Assistant to join our Human Resources Team. Reporting to the Manager, Office Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering various functions in support of the Office Services department, while supporting both the office and warehouse Team Members.

What you'll do:


  • Coordinate meeting requirements for breaks, lunches, AV equipment, room setups, etc.
  • Order office supplies from outside suppliers or from stock. Assist Dealers with stationary requests and setting up accounts with preferred vendors.
  • Code invoices to proper GL accounts for Office Services and Cafeteria.
  • Collaborate with the Office Services Manager to order office furniture and coordinate repairs as required.
  • Coordinate and oversee Office Services Support scheduling to ensure meetings are taken care of (catering, room setup, etc.).
  • Coordinate and schedule with outside vendors for regular carpet cleaning, window cleaning, drapery, tent rental, table and chair rentals.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Department and other business stakeholders for office related facility maintenance and general comfort requests.
  • Assist with covering Switchboard and mailroom during breaks and vacation days.
  • Assist Special Events with planning retirements, Team Member BBQ, movie nights, etc.
  • Assist with office moves and planning i.e., packing, moving contents, proper desk heights.

What we're looking for:


  • One to two years' experience in an administrative environment.
  • Strong communication and people skills to work alongside various departments. Ability to assess Team Member's needs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technically inclined, with an understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary.
