The

Chief, Cloud Technology and Infrastructure Services (CCTIS) reports to the Executive Vice President of Provincial Digital Health and Information Services (PDHIS), is an executive-level leader who is primarily accountable for leading the modernization and delivery of cybersecurity, cloud services, and the totality of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure across PHSA and other health authorities that it provides with shared services. The CCTIS oversees strategy development, governance, standards setting, and the delivery of high quality cybersecurity, cloud and enterprise technology services, including modernization of legacy infrastructure and associated services. The role has a significant focus on service transformation and enabling the technology foundations of a digitally enabled health system, including through the establishment of strategic alliances, managed services and partnerships with external technology service providers.


The CCTIS works in partnership with other PDHIS senior leaders and with health authority CIOs/Chief Technology Officers, providing guidance, senior in-depth technical expertise, and support resources for key capabilities (cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity management) where required.

This role is accountable for the modernization and management of core technology infrastructure and foundational services such as unified communications (voice, data, video), hosting, databases and servers, and management of a province-wide, high-speed data network which delivers the best possible experience regardless of whether it is at the bedside, the nursing station, or directly to providers or patients via mobile technology solutions.

The CCTIS is deeply credible to senior leaders across the sector, with a track record and ability to build consensus for required investments to transform services.


The CCTIS is a problem-solving and transformative leader of change, and brings deep commercial discipline in vendor alliance management and strategic partnerships, as well as in cybersecurity and overall technology operations.

As a key member of the PDHIS senior leadership team, actively contributes to the overall strategic planning of the PDHIS portfolio and is accountable for the attainment of the PDHIS mandates and priorities by providing strategic guidance and execution as a cross-functional team and within their expert domains.

What you'll do

  • Works as an executivelevel leader of PHSA and as a key member of the PDHIS senior leadership team to further the mission, vision, and values of the organization to translate into planning and actionable objectives for PDHIS by supporting the integration of all service lines across all PHSA programs. In collaboration with the EVP, and the Executive Leadership Team as appropriate, develops and implements organizational strategic objectives.
  • Leads the modernization and management of core infrastructure and technology operations, supporting both provincial and regional solutions, including issue management and incident response. Provides direction towards the harmonization and modernized core infrastructure platforms and services to enable improved communication and convergence through the province, leveraging security and advances in cloud and mobile technology. Supports the provincial hosting strategy.
  • Leads the establishment of managed services and strategic vendor partnerships that provide consistent and costeffective technology services within PHSA and across the health sector. Establishes and meets servicelevel requirements in partnership with PDHIS and other customers. s and provides commercial negotiation and management capabilities to support other large service delivery partnerships within PDHIS, as required.
