What You Will Do:
Financial & Accounting Responsibilities:
(comprises 60% of workload)
- Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries
- Ensures that general ledger accounts and cost centers are properly maintained and reconciled
- Maintain Capital Asset and amortization schedules
- Month End closing duties and support of yearend auditing processes
- Assist business units with forecasting and budgeting processes
- Adhoc analysis and reports analysis by way of interpretation of accounting information to appraise operating results for profitability, performance against budget
Payroll Responsibilities (comprises 40% of workload)
- Process weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees, as well as commission and bonus payments
- Complete weekly payroll journal entries for submission to the assigned finance member for entry
- Create required internal management reports from the payroll systems
- Partner with HR, to manage and administer processes related to our HRIS and payroll systems to ensure employee profiles are up to date
- Weekly submit RRSP report to provider and ensure accurate processing of sick pay, benefits and vacation payouts
- Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and work methods
- Respond to employee and government agency inquiries
- Ensure the creation and timely distribution of T4s
What We Require:

Education & Experience_
- 2 years direct experience processing payroll preferably in multiple jurisdictions including USA
- 3 years in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing environment with multiple divisions
Technical Skills & Competencies_
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong foundational knowledge and desire to work with data sets to analyze and extract information from ERP databases
- Proficient organizational skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills supported with the aptitude to make sound recommendations
Salary:
$60,511.02-$77,263.17 per year

- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- CAMBRIDGE, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
