    Job Summary

    The shop administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mechanic shop. They are responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, managing customer interactions and support the overall workflow of the shop.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Positively participate in the Company Safety and Goal Zero Initiatives and adhere to all safety requirements
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the shop
  • Process work orders in the accounting systems (JD Edwards) with a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of information, service history and vehicle details, both paper and electronically
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Process documentation and prepare reports
  • Schedule, track and complete employee vehicle sign outs
  • Provide assistance to the parts team as needed
  • Vehicle and parts pickups/drop-offs
  • JDE entry as required
  • Qualifications

  • Class 5 driver's license, a vehicle is required as there is no public transportation in this area.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and services is an asset but not required
  • Experience working for a construction company is an asset
  • Technical Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excel Skills
  • Strong computer and data entry skills; ability to utilize virtual meeting software
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn new software including JDE and SAP
  • Knowledge of employment related legislation; Resourceful and able to research information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
