Architectural Outfitter (Interior Boat Builders)
BC Regional Council of Carpenters is looking for experienced Joiners/ Cabinetry Installers for our local Contractor in West Vancouver.
Architectural Outfitters in the marine and offshore construction sectors are responsible for installation of interior modular wall panels, ceiling panels, doors, furniture, and equipment.
Successful applicants will be offered top wages, room for advancement, on the job training, pension, and extended health benefits after working 260 hours.
Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
- Measuring, cutting, and joining materials sheet metal. Plastic, or vinyl.
- Fitting and installing modular wall and ceiling systems.
- Fitting and installing metal doors, and shutters.
- Fitting and installing metal furniture.
- Installing architectural equipment in workshop, commercial kitchen, laboratory, and gymnasium areas.
- Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Working Conditions
- Working in a confined space
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$22.00-$37.00 per hour
