Team Profile:
The Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience (CDRR) organization within Technology at Morgan Stanley, provides first-line defenses for information and cyber security, fraud, resilience, response and recovery, and technology risk and controls.
The combination of these groups, in close partnership with the business and technology teams, enhance the resilience of the Firm, address the complex and continuously evolving threat environment, drive compliance with policy and regulatory requirements, and ensure data governance, quality and security.
Position Description:
The mission of the Data Protection Service (DPS) group is to implement the Firm's Data Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying, and operating technical data security controls and capabilities for the Enterprise.
This is achieved by continued focus on architectural rigor, automation, Agile delivery, and adoption of Data Protection Services' control implementations by our users and partners.
Responsibilities:
- You will work with the DLP squad supporting Engineering & Operational tasks involved in data security services, ranging from service delivery, task automation, DevOps tasks and supporting an oncall rotation (frequency is once a month).
- Working with the DLP squad & wider Technology stakeholders, you will support the continuous improvement of our services through the development of automation scripting and effective observability solutions.
- You will be supporting the rapid prototyping of various tools, technologies, and their new capabilities, aligning to business requirements.
- Working with Technology teams, you will onboard new tools to support business needs and integrate with the Morgan Stanley eco system.
- Across the DLP squad and stakeholder groups, you will participate in design and code reviews.
- You will deliver knowledge sharing across our global Data Protection squads & chapters, providing documentation, presentations, and internal postings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field
- 5 plus years of experience in Cybersecurity, data protection compliance or related field.
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell or similar
- DevOps: Git, CI/CD Pipeline, Test Automation
- OS: Linux, Windows, macOS(optional)
- Networking: network configuration and debugging
- Security Practices: Knowledge of critical cyber security controls
- Experience working within Agile teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach.
Nice to have:
- DLP: Symantec DLP, Microsoft DLP, Netskope DLP
- Cloud: Azure, M365, AWS, etc.
- Orchestration: IaC, Containerisation, etc.
- Database: Oracle, MSSQL, SQLite
- Data Handling: Splunk, Microsoft Dynamics, Hive
- Knowledge of IT Service Management
