_This position is for Parallel - The Sesame Brothers, a family owned restaurant located at the Kensington location._


Summary:


The accounting clerk calculates, prepares and processes bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial records according to the established procedures outlined by the accounting manager.


  • Ensures that all invoices and credit notes are properly entered; customer codes and pricing amount balances should be correct.
  • Responsible for calculating, preparing and issuing documents related to accounts, such as: invoices and credit notes using a computerized system.
  • Perform clerical duties such as word processing, maintaining files and records, faxing and photocopying.
  • Ensuring all invoices with proper proof of delivery such as accurate customer number, amount, invoice number and date are received from all CDN Distributors before month end reporting.
  • Prepare invoices for posting while keeping all copies in numerical order and by date.
  • Posting of daily orders entered in the system with zero balances to monitor duplicated orders for shipment.
  • Modifying invoices based on changes that drivers made to ensure amount to be collected are correct.
  • Perform clerical duties such as word processing, maintaining files and records, faxing and photocopying.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Daily posting of credit notes entered and invoices as required.
  • Daily sorting of invoices and credit note by date.

Skills and experience requirements:


  • Completion of college diploma or other courses related in accounting, bookkeeping or computer operation.
  • 13 years experience in the field.
  • Has knowledge of commonlyused accounting concepts and procedures.
  • Experience in performing clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems, general office duties and managing accounts.
  • Excellent numeracy and calculation skills.
  • Professional written and oral communication.
  • Problem solving skills with some independent judgment

Salary:
$40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

  • QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
