We are looking for a
full-time Learning and Development Assistant to join our team The Learning and Development Assistant will help plan and administer trainings; along with tracking attendance and sharing departmental completion.

This role supports both the Education and Human Resources teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders in the administration of all CMHA learning events.


Status:
Full-Time Permanent; 37.5 hours a week

Hurontario St, Brampton ON, ability to travel within and around Greater Toronto Area

What you will do

  • Schedule, coordinate, lead, and maintain records of training sessions, both inperson and online, for employees at all levels of the organization
  • Provide logístical support for educational trainings and staff events including booking rooms, technology support, materials, catering, surveys, and certificates
  • Liaise with multiple learning partners, including managers, HR team, learning and development and talent management vendors
  • Support the creation and implementation of yearly learning and development plans for CMHA employees, collaborating to identify skill gaps
  • Supports marketing of educational workshops offered by the organization internally and to community members and partners
  • Prepare and maintain records, including program evaluations, attendance records, and learning schedules
  • Input training data into the Learning Management System (LMS), Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other systems as required
  • Audit new member knowledge and performance to identify areas where training may be needed
  • Develop and coordinate the evaluation of training programs to monitor and improve quality and effectiveness
  • Create, manage, and analyze key training metrics and dashboards; track employee training registration, course participation and curriculum progression while ensuring accurate record keeping
  • Support maintaining the learning budget, including invoices, reconciling costs, and communicating with the Finance team

What you will need

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources Management, Adult Education, Business Administration or other related discipline
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience administrating a learning management system
  • Experience coordinating projects and working with multiple priorities
  • Experience in creating and providing timely and accurate reporting metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes with limited guidance by exploring, seeking and reading documentation, and to generate innovation solutions to resolve business issues.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with management, frontline staff and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research data and findings.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate and make recommendations to enhance or develop new training and/or programs.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple deadlines
