Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician (Gross Margins) on a permanent basis.

Our Retail Accounting team is looking for an independent professional to support margin reporting across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).

This position is a hybrid opportunity based in Saskatoon, SK. Members of this team are currently coming into the office one day a week.

What you'll do:

Audit local Coop inventory packages for gross margin calculations, assessing the reasonability and consistency of calculated results.
Investigate irregularities and advise General Managers and department leaders on any corrections required. This will require making recommendations on changes to procedures, and systems to ensure commodity margins are recorded accurately.
Review JDE RREC output for miscoding and failed system processing and recommend corrective coding.
Liaise with FCL Vendors for direct ship billing, ensuring validity of supplier billing.
Other duties as required.

Who you'll work with:

You will be one of 9 Accounting Technicians who focus on gross margins and will be part of a larger accounting team of approximately 35 people.

You will report into the Retail Accounting Supervisor and will work with professionals across the Co-operative Retailing System to address accounting discrepancies.
