- Analyze and manage business operations
- Prepare financials statements, payroll, remittances, company taxes and perform financial forecasts
- Manage accounting department (distributing, following up and review tasks) and ERP system
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
- Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports)
- Prepare and file T1, T2 and HST returns, when necessary
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Meet and follow up with clients, update/manage accounting client database, update accounting marketing materials if necessary
- Monitor, analyze and develop department processes to ensure more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
- Lead/assist with adhoc tasks and projects as needed
Qualification:
- University degree in Accounting
- CPA designation is highly desired
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting:
Minimum 2 years of experience in management role:- Experience in bookkeeping, preparing T1 and T2 tax returns, filing of HST
- Knowledge of Quick Books Online, Profile, MS Excel (expert level), PDF, Word, Enterprise resource planning (ERP)
- Selfstarter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbally and written)
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills
- Excellent team player with ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Must possess strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
Salary:
From $85,000.00 per year

- North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
