    The Township of Chatsworth is located just south of Owen Sound in the centre of scenic Grey County and is only a short two-hour drive from the GTA and other major cities. Rural and rustic in nature, Chatsworth boasts popular recreational areas including scenic waterfalls, inland lakes, and the Niagara Escarpment.

    Chatsworth continues to meet the needs of its residents through strong leadership, public engagement, fiscal accountability and a proactive community strategy.     Your Opportunity

    · Work as part of the Senior Management Team ensuring the Township's financial statutory obligations are met

    · Manage the Finance Department's day to day operations including supervision of staff and providing financial oversight for all departments to ensure operations are within approved budgets and within purchasing policies

    · Oversee the Township's monetary investments as well as develop and maintain the Asset Management Plan

    · Administer the annual operating and capital budgets taking capital planning, forecasting expenditures and project funding into account

    · Calculate the annual tax rate from the budget process and make recommendations to Council

    · Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer and Council and/or as may be required by law

    What it Takes to do the Job

    · Degree in Accounting/Finance, Public or Business Administration or related field

    · Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or significant progression towards designation

    · Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) or Municipal Finance Officer (MFO) designation is considered an asset

    · A minimum of five (5) years related municipal experience including three (3) years in a supervisory role or equivalent financial experience in the private sector

    · Extensive knowledge, understanding and interpretation of financial legislative requirements

    · Superior ability to lead, motivate and direct a team
