STUDENT ON PLACEMENT - PROGRAMS
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age.
The Position Requires:

Your Skills:
- Time Management skills
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Course knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to your schedule provided
- Complete course work according to your schedule
- Always take direction from the staff
- Become part of the staff team
- Develop a good relationship with your supervisor (your supervisor is there to help you succeed)
- Use your supervisor and the setting as a resource
- Familiar with PLASP's policies and procedures
- Become familiar with the Supervisory Policy
- Show initiative without being asked
- Be openminded and be willing to listen and learn
- Ask questions
- Be open to feedback
- Inform staff of issues that need to be discussed with parents
- Contribute to creating a safe work environment
- Wear your ID Badge while in the program
Key Responsibilities When Working with Children:
- Enjoy interacting with the children
- Assist the staff with the children and the program
- Interact directly with all of the children, by talking, listening, and playing with all of the children
- Participate in all aspects of the program
- Plan activities that engage the children's interests
- Lead indoor and outdoor activities that are geared to the children's interests
- Eat with the children
- Assist with setup and cleanup, e.g., lunchtime, craft activities, etc.
- Ensure photo and contract are provided to the Program Director
- Become familiar with policies and procedures

Perform other duties as requested by the staff and/or your supervisor.
