About the role:

We are recruiting for an
EV Charging & Alternative Energy Specialist to cover and serve our customer database in Western Canada.

The EV Charging & Alternative Energy Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining positive customer relations.

This is done by identifying EV Charging and Alternative Energy product opportunities and ensuring that customers receive a positive EBH experience in order to drive profitable sales.

This role will oversee and provide support to Branch & Sales staff to ensure efficient and effective Customer Service. Reporting to and working closely with the Divisional Manager - Lighting, to support a productive sales environment.

Work location:

This role will be based at the Corporate Divisional Office located at nd Street Langley, BC V1M 4A6, and have the ability to work remotely or out of the EBH Branch locations.

What you will be great at:

Customer Service:
Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with customers and ensuring they have a good experience with EBH.

Planning and executing regular sales calls (in-person or virtual) with key customers to identify needs or opportunities and recommend related energy products.

Following up with Account Managers on conversations or quotes with customers.
-
Providing or facilitating support for energy products that are sold to customers by E.B. Horsman & Son.
-
Facilitating communication between customers and suppliers to ensure that customers have clarification on any project specifications and to arrange joint sales calls.
-
Maintaining the most current knowledge of BC Hydro PowerSmart and additional utility and government rebate or incentive programs, alternative energy products, industry trends, and social or political influences and adjusting communication of this knowledge depending on customer needs.

Branch Support:

Providing internal customer support to Branch Personnel which includes making EV Charging and Alternative Energy recommendations, and completing required documentation including single-line wiring diagrams.

Conducting training on or showing EV Charging & Alternative Energy products including EV Charging systems which may or may not include power distribution equipment, battery storage systems, Solar photovoltaic systems, wind turbine generation, and control systems.

Internal Relations:
Working with Branch Sales representatives to provide pricing, energy product reports, and product details for customer needs.

Supporting branch Outside Sales with EV Charging & Alternative Energy expertise, including, building customized product packages that best serve their customer product needs and conducting joint sales calls as necessary. Collaborating with sales, projects group, and manufacturers to target EV Charging & Alternative Energy opportunities on all new and ongoing projects.

Quotations:

Determining EV Charging & Alternative Energy specifications for customer projects which may include conducting power distribution infrastructure audits at customer sites and designing single-line drawings.

Developing and providing quotations for customer project specifications.

Reviewing quotation logs on Salesforce as needed and following up with customers.

Training:

Working with the Divisional Manager to develop training materials and presentations for customers and branch staff and sales representatives.

Facilitating internal and external training sessions (in-person or virtual). Coordinating EV Charging & Alternative Energy supplier training from manufacturers for the branches. Training customers and staff on EV Charging and Alternative Energy systems.

Quality Control:
Having the ability to initiate action to prevent the recurrence of quality problems; document quality problems through the nonconformance program; control further pr
