About the job.

This Position supports the daily operations of all paddle sport rentals and moorage guests in the absence of the Marina Manager. The Marina Supervisor knows that it is the small details that elevate our guest's experience from great to extraordinary. They also know to expect the unexpected and can think quickly on their feet while effectively multitasking. This position understands that safety is at the forefront of every marina adventure to ensure ultimate comfort.

Please note that this position is a seasonal fixed contract until October 2023. This position will start part-time until mid April and continue as full-time over the summer until mid September. If a suitable position is available in another department at the end of the contract employment may continue thereafter.

About you.

A willingness to learn and to teach interpersonal and technical skills on the job
Adept computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) and previous experience using Opera an asset
Previous experience in marina operations and/or a rich knowledge of the boating community an asset
Previous experience in a customer service role required
Supervisory or managerial experience an asset
Certified in First Aid and the operation of pleasure crafts (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) or willingness to obtain
Marina Radio Operator certification an asset
Reliable transportation to get toandfrom Brentwood Bay

What you'll be doing.

Supports the leadership of the marina team through daily operations
Supervise dock and oversee incoming and outgoing vessels
Lead dockhands to inspect docked vessels to ensure vessel and guest safety
Create, manage and complete paddle sports and moorage reservations
Ensure docks, equipment and facilities are operational and in good repair at all times
Ensures clean restrooms, docks, walkways, ramps, office, beach front and equipment or other areas designated
Support training and coaching of dockhands and and others
Address marina guest feedback and concerns
