Main Duties and Responsibilities

The instructional assistant/instructor will:
- _Provide instructional support to the instructor and students _in the lab environment
- _Assess students for competency in sterile compounding following NAPRA Model Standards_


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

The instructor will have:

  • Certification in aseptic compounding techniques in accordance with the NAPRA Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Sterile Preparations (hazardous and nonhazardous)
  • Working knowledge of hospital dispensing software and dispensing practices
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills

Education and Experience

  • A Pharmacy Technician certificate or diploma from a CCAPP accredited program
  • Current RPhT registration with the BC College of Pharmacists
  • Teaching experience is an asset
  • Current and relevant industry in the hospital pharmacy
**This is a non-regular position occurring on two days: July 26 and July 29, 2024, for a total of 15 hours. Salary and Benefits are in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement. The hourly range is $ per hour (at 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications and experience.
