LABORATORY ASSISTANT

Microbiology Department

1 Full Time Position Available
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing sample preparation and provide general laboratory support.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare samples for analysis
Keep detailed records as required
Dispose of waste and general laboratory cleanup as needed
Monitor and maintain adequate supplies
All other responsibilities as assigned
High School diploma
Ability to perform simple calculations
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Accurately follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and instructions
Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Good timemanagement, communication, multitasking and priority setting skills
Adapt to a changing environment
Work both independently and as part of a team
Team and customer service oriented
Detail oriented with accurate record keeping skills
Learn quickly
