SUMMARY
Business partner to GM at Unifin International, a division of Wabtec Canada Inc., in London, Ontario. Accountable for all Financial, Treasury and Accounting-related compliance operations of the Business Unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Business partner to General Manager:

  • Provide and interpret financial information/data to support business decisions
  • Financial and strategic planning and analysis including development / management of Budget / STRAP
  • Business partnering work
  • Business growth support
  • Key CAR support
Financial reporting accountability for all areas of financial operations including:

  • Month End Flash and supporting numbers
  • High level weekly information including Business metrics
  • Forecasting and management accounts
  • Risks and opportunities reporting
  • Cash from operations management / reporting
  • All ERP related processes
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax and Canadian Financial standards
  • Responsible for the development of standard labor and overhead rates

Treasury Management:

  • Cash management including cash race reporting
  • Maximization of Cash from Operations
  • Treasury controls

Compliance work:

  • Responsible for integrity of data
  • SOX / control's existence and adherence
  • All Audit & tax compliance
  • Compliance with US GAAP accounting
  • Adherence to international reporting requirements
  • Best practice for all areas of finance and controls

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises staff of two (2) employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities such as assigning and directing work; training; appraising performance; rewarding employees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
