***: Darling International Canada Inc. has an opportunity for a 16 month contract position as an Office & Communications Coordinator to ensure our Head Office is operating efficiently. As our first point of contact for our Corporate Head Office location, this role is responsible for ensuring administrative functions are carried out in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. In addition to general office support, this role is also responsible for the distribution of Corporate communications, as well as the creation, monitoring and posting of our Canadian social media content, in accordance with our branding standards.


POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • First point of contact for all office inquiries including but not limited to: greeting guests and responding to phone inquiries, coordinating couriers and deliveries, ordering of office equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate the distribution of any Corporate communications including arranging for translation services as required.
  • Create, develop, distribute content for Company social media platforms, in accordance with Company Branding standards.
  • Creation of purchase orders and receipt records for supplies within Head Office; approve invoices/charges incurred.
  • Responsible for maintenance and support of all office equipment and services (VOIP Phone System, printers, cleaning, coffee, equipment repairs, Building Maintenance issues)
  • Coordinator of cell phone program replacements/upgrades and maintain list of active numbers
  • Responsible for local security system including issuing door FOB's.
  • Provide administrative support for coordination of meeting arrangements both onsite and when offsite when required.
  • Member of the social committee to plan and organize site events and activities.
  • Responsible for records retention program including filing and ongoing document storage and archiving records
  • Administrative support to Finance including daily deposit preparation and electronic scanning to bank
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 12 years Administrative Office experience, postsecondary education in Business and/or Office Administration an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Dedicated, selfmotivated, with the ability to work independently and balance priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with proven process optimization abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced work environment
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
