    As a Health and Safety Supervisor you will support projects that span multiple disciplines within our organization in order to deliver high quality and sustainable solutions to our clients.

    Your experience in the industry and/or consulting, as well as your project and people skills will enable you to make a difference in our industry and inspire new and better ways to implement engineering and water management solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and oversight of Health and Safety performance of the EPC and subcontractors
    • Evaluate EPC Contractor's implementation of their specific HSE Management Plan as it applies to the project
    • Review EPC Contractor's operations for compliance to legislative, project and client requirements
    • Conduct reporting activities including preparing weekly HSE reports
    • Review project HSE documentation and records for near miss and incidents
    • Oversight of EPC Contractor's incident investigations and root cause analysis
    • Oversight of EPC Contractor identification of hazards and planning Health and Safety activities
    • Actively monitor the project for compliance to set leading indicator targets, compliance to all legislative requirements and to project PPE and safety equipment requirements
    • Conduct project Health and Safety limited scope audits and formal worksite inspections
    • Attend EPC Contractor training sessions and monitor record keeping and communications
    • Ensure HSE orientations are completed for all owner's representatives and contractors, prior to individuals commencing work
    • Validate all project required Health and Safety certifications, for EPC and subcontractors, prior to individuals commencing work
    • Ensure safety information is communicated to project team and posted via bulletin boards and posters
    • Support site Safety Committee meetings
    • Support the Safe Work Permit process
    • Provide visible presence on worksite by actively attending morning toolbox meetings and engaging in conversation with supervisors and workers
    • Lead by example by completing all required paperwork and maintaining 100% compliance to policies

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working on industrial construction projects
    • Holding certification as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
    • In possession of safety tickets, such as:
      • Standard First Aid w/ CPR
      • H2S Alive
      • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
      • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
      • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
      • Wildlife and/or Bear Awareness
    • Must be fluent in English and legally able to work in Canada
    • A valid driver's license
