Description:


Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Consistently perform responsibilities and duties aligned to Inter Pipelines Core Values, Stakeholder Relations Policy, Values and Commitments, and EH&S Policies
  • Develop and deliver training in accordance with the standards and best practices that provides operations personnel with the skill set to perform their duties in a safe and compliant manner
  • Demonstrate due diligence with respect to the impact of relevant regulations, legislation and ethical considerations on the design, development and implementation of training and development programs, particularly those related to facility operations, health, safety, and environment
  • Develop competence in respective PDH area
  • Incorporate updates to training manuals and packages from Management of Change (MOC), lessons learned, operating philosophy changes to name a few
  • Support procedure development and review processes
  • Conduct training needs and gap assessments
  • Lead the scheduling of training sessions
  • Facilitate training, learning and development activities
  • Support Simulator Model updates, scenario development and cofacilitate simulator sessions for ongoing training of Operations' staff
  • Cornerstone administrative duties related to reporting, quality assurance, maintaining training records and documentation
  • Guide operations during turnarounds and outages as needed
  • Support other initiatives in the training space, including covering for other team members (as required)

Education, Skills and Experience:


  • 10 + years of industryrelated experience providing and developing training
  • Third-Class Power Engineering Certificate (or higher) preferred
  • Experience with large scale integrated facilities such as a petrochemical or refinery plants including time spent as an Operating Technician
  • Previous experience of operating a Oleflex Dehydrogenation Unit considered an asset
  • Postsecondary trainthetrainer certification or education considered an asset
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) considered an asset
