In between the pet cuddles, excited sniffs and belly rubs, other duties include:

  • Performing cash related functions, sales processing
  • debit, credit transaction, end of day closing related activities and handling general customer inquiries
  • Preparing merchandise orders, prepare banking deposits and other miscellaneous paperwork
  • Placing small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies, household items, etc. into stock in the sales area of the store
  • Ensuring that the safety standards with regard to sale floor is maintain i.e. Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in replenishing the shelves after receiving deliveries of pet food and supplies.
  • Other duties and tasks as required

What you bring:

  • Previous retail or guest service experience is desirable
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs this may include evenings, weekends and closing
  • Previous experience with retail pointofsale (POS) software is desirable
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results for your store
  • Possess outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively without assistance
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from the store
