PAYROLL ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

Who is a Payroll Accounting Associate?


This position will interact closely with other Associates on the team and in other departments to seek, compile and collect information to ensure compensation related request are investigated, processed and paid to Associates.

They will also be responsible to integrate payroll reporting into the General Ledger and reconciling corresponding accounts for Financial Statements.


What will you be doing?

  • Handles PT Tracker tickets.
  • Redirects tickets received if pertaining to other departments.
  • Prepares compensation changes to Associates for payroll.
  • Administers Personal Training pay request on a biweekly basis.
  • Reviews various compensation types to be uploaded in the biweekly Dollar Pay folders separated between Atlantic Canada and Corporate.
  • Processes the biweekly payroll General Ledger and uploads to Great Plains accounting system.
  • Prepares monthly payroll General Ledger accrual and uploads to Great Plains accounting system.
  • Prepares and reconciles monthly /annual Payroll & Tax liability accounts timely and accurately as assigned.
  • Maintains, tracks and reconciles incentives, awards/contests.
  • Handles timely monthly analysis for specific payroll expense accounts on the Financial Statements.
  • Coordinates and distributes monthly bonuses and financial statements for Goodlife & Fit4less club management.
  • Gathers all monthly club management changes for Personal Training Department, Operations & Fit4Less to maintain Associates listing which identifies key position who are eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • Assists with gathering and preparation of T2200 documents.
  • Assists in providing administrative and other support for the new Incentive Compensation Management and Associate Information System projects.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in related field or related work experience.
  • 12 years
  • 1 year experience using Exerp
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of Great Plains an asset
