What you will do:


  • The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) Pharmacy department is looking for an energetic and motivated Supervisor, Drug Distrubution Pharmacy (DDP) to join it's team
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will play a critical role in building relationships with the frontline staff and clinical units and is continuously searching for ways to impact change. The Supervisor, DDP is an effective communicator who responds quickly to all inquiries, establishes clear, attainable deadline for employees and follows up on all requests with promptness. In order to continue providing patient care, the Supervisor, DDP must strike a balance between accountability and compassion. The Supervisor, DDP is an important member of the management team who helps to build the overall strategy, as well as team dynamics and staff safety.

What you will bring:


  • Minimum two (2) year College diploma related to Pharmacy;
  • Pharmacy Technician License with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP);
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience;
  • Knowledge of legislation, acts, standards & regulations for correct techniques
  • OCP, NAPRA;
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures that are required for pharmacy services;
  • Knowledge of collective agreements and acts/regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets;
  • Proven ability to manage employees;
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and decisionmaking skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time management and problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Pharmacy Information System).
