RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments, stakeholders and customers.
- Organize daily deliveries to jobsites using Toro Group of Companies drivers and thirdparty resources.
- Monitor driver performance, output and ensure that the organizations Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration (CVOR) remains in good standing. Determine shipping priorities and assign work to the department based on delivery requirements.
- Organize and direct the loading/unloading of material at the factory and the job/delivery site.
- Responsible for fostering a positive relationship with third party vendors.
- Prepare production and other reports where required.
- Ensure Management is informed daily about quality, quantity, personnel, safety and any other issues that require immediate attention.
- Undertake projects as assigned by Management to improve the operation.
- Train and evaluate employees in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Investigate and deal with personnel issues. Administrate progressive disciplinary action, when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed. Ensure protective gear is worn as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of related experience in a shipping department of a glass or window manufacturing facility is a strong asset. Experience in a highvolume environment is preferred.
- Experience working in a Unionized environment considered an asset.
- Knowledge of legal requirements as well as shipping methods, procedures and practices.
- Experience managing 3rdparty logistics providers.
- Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, coaching, technical skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and processoriented skills.
- Experience in dealing with personnel issues and issuing progressive discipline.
- Ability to influence others and effectively work in a team.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
