- Notifies Technical Leaders of potential upgrades and modifications
- Fluent in CMMS add and complete work orders through CMMS providing adequate detail and follow-up
- Recommend and implement improvements for recurring reliability issues in the site
- Attend and participate in shift maintenance planning and downtime meetings
- Participate, in all full-line maintenance days
- Provides training for operators in proper PM and work order completion
- Plays an active role in the effective communication of technical activities to designated and following shift
- Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
- Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment
- Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- 5+ years experience maintaining mechanical systems/equipment in a high-speed production environment
- Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety, HACCP, ISO, materials conversion, etc
- Working knowledge of SAP PM
- Post-Secondary Education in a technical field
- Industrial Electrician with 442a certification is a MUST
- HS Diploma or GED
- Background Check
- Drug Test
- Must be at least 18 years old

Staff Management | SMX is looking for an Industrial Electrician. This Temp-to-hire role has a competitive pay of $45/hour with 12 hour rotating shifts. The shift technician is responsible for plant reliability in designated area of the plant; equipment downtime, execution of permanent repairs and preventative maintenance, and significant improvement of area, and maximizes overall area and plant performance through reliability.
