Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations, while identifying potential research opportunities.
Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses under the supervision of a licensed physician, while considering research implications.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical guidelines, and research findings.
Perform or assist in medical procedures, including wound care, suturing, casting, and injections, while documenting research data when applicable.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies, while utilizing research methodologies to enhance data collection.
Provide patient education regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, while incorporating researchbased information.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care, while actively engaging in interdisciplinary research collaborations.
Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records in accordance with medical and legal requirements, while documenting researchrelated information as appropriate.
Stay informed about advancements in medical knowledge, techniques, and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities, with a particular focus on research updates.
Actively participate in research initiatives, including study design, data collection, analysis, and publication, in collaboration with the research team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Demonstrated interest and experience in research, including knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working as a Physician Assistant in a similar clinical setting with research involvement.
Certification in Orthopaedics.
Research experience or training in any medical specialty.

Salary:
$19.08-$50.00 per hour
