NAPA Auto Parts is seeking an experienced
Full-Time Automotive Parts Specialist for our
NAPA Toronto Integrated Business Solutions (IBS).
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good relations with our customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
You will support overall store operations in order to meet NAPA's exacting customer service and operational standards by preparing customer orders and processing returns.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle orders and requests for parts or parts information efficiently.
- Specify and identify parts needed to meet customer requirements, using online and book catalogues.
- Use parts information resources to identify parts required accurately.
- Effectively communicate features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
- Create purchase orders for requisitions on nonstocking or specialorder parts.
- Followup on special order items and notify the customer when received.
- Located outofstock parts from other sources.
- Recommend substitute and complementary products to what the customer is asking.
- Manage the daily store operations.
- Maintaining inventory on display, on shelves and in bins.
- Performing physical inventories.
- Reporting any discrepancies in stock levels.
- Upgrade knowledge automotive and heavyduty products and services by training onthejob and participation in educational and development programs.
Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
- Automotive aftermarket and parts supply background and/or knowledge an asset
- At least six months of heavyduty parts and procurment background and knowledge.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced retail environment
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Communication skills
- Priority management
- Computerliterate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software program
- Action oriented
- Listening skills
- Teamwork and excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma
- Strong math and reading comprehension skills.
- General understanding of various functions of a distribution center.
- Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience.
- Ability to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire.
