    As a Skateboard or Inline Instructor, you will be responsiblefor ensuring public use of the skate park program space in a safe manner and assisting with customer questions and concerns. Primary duties include:

  • Lead, plan, and instruct beginner and intermediate skateboarding, scootering, or rollerblading skills.
  • Supervise and secure the use of the skatepark.
  • Lead, plan and instruct in recreational programs to help participants develop their skill base and knowledge in this area.
  • Maintain records, provide feedback, and assist with program evaluation.
  • Ensuresafetyofparticipants and attend to first aid issues.
  • Regulate proper on-site administration duties.
  • Plan additional program activities.
  • Prepare and maintainequipment, supplies and program space.
  • Modelproperskateparketiquetteandsafety.
  • Ensureprocedures and rulesarecommunicatedand followed.
  • Provideexcellentcustomerserviceandensureparticipantsandparentsfeelwelcome.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 16 years of age.
  • Strong experience, knowledge, and skills in skateboarding, scootering or rollerblading are required.
  • Previous training and knowledge of Physical Literacy will be considered an asset.
  • May be required to hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License and have use of a car for business purposes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills along with demonstrated initiative, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgement in safety standards and well-developed customer service skills.
  • Able to work in a group atmosphere with minimal supervision.
