Full-Time Transitional Support Manager-North Battleford
The Transitional Support Manager ensures the overall effectiveness of a Karis Disability Services Designated Treatment Program.

They adhere to and uphold the policies and procedures established by Karis Disability Services while maintaining the vision of the agency and of Designated Treatment Programs for persons supported and staff.

They are required to ensure that the appropriately prescribed treatment programs are implemented to address the clinical, behavioral and/or mental health needs of persons supported by Karis Disability Services.

They are required to ensure that the needs of the persons supported are met, relating to personal growth, and enhancing quality of life.

Program Managers effectively administer the operations of the location and assist the Area Manager with District goals, as requested.

Requirements:


  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License and access to reliable transportation

Experience:


  • Four years in developmental services or another human services field.
  • Minimum of 18 months of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and experience relating to clinical behavior supports is an asset.

Education:


  • DSW or threeyear Degree equivalency in a related field

Skills and Required Training:


  • Emergency First Aid/, household equipment, Supervisory/Management courses, organization and strategic planning, computer skills, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent, creative problem solving and leadership skills Commitment Personal Centered Support, Required ongoing training as per Christian Horizons policy.

Physical/Mental Demands/work conditions:


  • Involves working with people who may have clinical, behavioral and/or mental health needs which may at times result in physical/verbal aggressive behaviours.
  • Possible exposure to Hepatitis B and contagious disease
  • May involve assistance with personal care needs
  • Involves frequent driving/travel
  • Involves coaching and frequent meetings
  • May involve frequent lifting of people
  • Ability to perform physical restraints
  • Requires periods of concentration to read and write reports and computer use.
  • Ability to physically execute treatment programs and protocols as outlined by the Physical Demands Analysis or program specific requirements.
  • Irregular hours/shift work, including evenings and weekends
  • Demanding work environment
  • Conditions as in Physical/Mental Demands above.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$32.33-$36.37 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
