As a new Cook joining our Village Team, you will:

Enrolled or completed the Chef training or hold a Culinary management diploma from a program that meets the standard established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or equivalent
Hold a valid Food Handlers certification
Hold or be willing to obtain a SMART Serve certification
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
Be able to lift up to 35lbs
Have exceptional time management sills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
Knowledge of therapeutic diets including texture modification
Have experience preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a health care or longterm care setting
As needed Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents' diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques
