  • Job SummaryThe School offers an undergraduate, Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), degree and three graduate programs (MSWF, MSWA, MSWI) that emphasize social justice, Indigenous, and antioppressive approaches to working with communities, families, and individuals. All of our programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE).


This role provides graduate administrative support to the School Director, MSW Faculty Advisor, Academic Supervisors, and graduate students in the School of Social Work.


Responsibilities and key duties include:

  • Assisting the Graduate Advisor with graduate admissions and the ongoing management of graduate programing and administrative support.
  • Participates in and provides support to the MSW Working Group
  • General daytoday office administration.
  • Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to 2 years of experience working within a comparable environment.

  • Knowledge of BANNER, FAST, Cascade, SharePoint, and AIRS is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with UVic programs, policies, procedures, and systems is considered an asset.

Specialized Knowledge/Education:

Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Some related post-secondary course work would be considered an asset.
