Cook (NOC 63200)

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Ensure food is prepared fresh and of the highest quality
• Strictly adhere to safe and hygienic food handling practices
• Clean kitchen and work area

Requirements:

• Secondary School education
• At least 2 years in a cook position or equivalent culinary experience in commercial setting
• Be able to work under minimum supervision and in a fastpaced environment
