Our Recreation Department is currently seeking an out-going, enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our Recreation team as a casual Recreation Leader - Community & Civic Events.

The hours of work vary depending on event needs and includes, days, evenings and weekends.


About the Job

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of City and community events
  • Assisting with marketing/promotion of special events
  • Administrative tasks related to the programming for events
  • Assisting in supervising event volunteers and event activities; including set ups and strikes

  • You have the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels of the organization

  • You are selfaware, aren't afraid to laugh at yourself
  • You have graduated High school or recognized equivalent
  • Six months full time equivalent experience working in an events related setting
  • Minimum of two postsecondary courses related to event planning/volunteer management
  • Interpersonal skills training
  • Standard First Aid
  • Food Safe
  • Valid Class 5 or 7 BC Driver's License
