We are currently seeking a Brewing Assistant in North Vancouver.Black Kettle is not your typical brewery taproom.
We are a fantastic local hangout and have a very spacious lounge with a great outdoor extension for two and four-legged customers.
We have created a great community vibe down by the tracks and we are committed to always evolving.Not a bar or a restaurant, Black Kettle is focused on the craft experience and need the right team to deliver.
Responsibilities:
Brewing support
Cleaning - CIP Fermenters and Brite Tanks
Keg washing
Packaging - Run bottle & can filler, sanitizing bottles, labelling and stacking pallets of beer
Cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of equipment and facility.
Data Entry - Cellaring, cleaning and packaging Logs
General housekeeping
Understanding and practicing all internal safety standards and chemical handling.
Qualifications:
- 12 years brewing experience, or a formal brewing education considered an asset
- Ability to lift 55lbs repetitively
- Serving It Right Certified
- Good trouble shooting skills and strong mechanical aptitude an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and solution oriented
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, with mínimal supervision
- Enjoys working under pressure and at a fast pace
- Experience handling chemicals with an emphasis on cleaning and sanitizing protocols
