role accountabilities

  • Provide Rates via Certified Rate Table & Supplemental Service Agreement Supplied by

Innovation Lead:
Pricing & Costing

  • Provide accurate rates to clients that are reflective of market rates, services provided, and geographies travelled utilizing the resources available in Fleet Manager Pro.
  • Document all opportunities and the success rate on a monthly basis to analyze market trends
  • Grow and enhance the frontend relationship with new and prospective clients.
  • Enter orders and review recorded information to ensure accuracy.
  • Ask internal and external questions and do online research for additional information to demonstrate extreme preparedness and meet client expectations.
  • Record all shipping details, updates, and client correspondence in the order notes in real time.
  • Develop and grow topline revenue base
  • Diligently and efficiently follow service directives, instructions, and procedures communicated by the Business Development Manager.
  • Regularly correspond with the Client to follow up on completed freight movements, solve complex service issues, address inefficiencies, and recommend opportunities for further growth and development of the client relationship.
  • Negotiate and award freight to Carrier Partners by defined Specialized Client list.
  • Execute defined solutions to meet Client expectations.
  • Promote Automation of Account (EDI, Freight Assist, etc.)
  • Support the profitability of other conveyances:
  • Recommend opportunities to enhance the Asset-Based Fleet's (ABF) footprint.
  • Source local cartage rates and communicate cost and availability changes within specific markets which could influence the use of a different conveyance.
  • Diligently and efficiently follow service directives, instructions, and procedures communicated by the Relationship Team and Senior Leadership Team

education, skills & attributes required

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or GED Equivalent
  • English Literacy; French Literacy an asset
  • 13+ Years Experience Client Relations
  • 13+ Years Experience Transportation & Logistics Industry
  • Exceptional Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field or an industryrelated professional designation an asset
  • Marketing experience is an asset but not required
  • Strong understanding of the geography of Canada & USA required


  • Flexible Availability

  • Must be able to work in an 'oncall' environment for short periods (i.e. occasional 'oncall' status, late shifts, emergency response management, department coverage, as required by the Senior Leadership Team)

Salary:
$45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
